Ariyai Community News Agency – Today, Tuesday, Azar 8, 1401, the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Mughan city of Ardabil province issued a writ and sentenced Parisa Jadi to prison.

According to Jamia Ariyai news agency, in recent days, Parisa Jedi, an Instagram activist, a resident of Mughan city of Ardabil province, was sentenced to 3 months in prison by the first branch of the revolutionary court of this city.

According to this verdict, which was recently communicated to Parisa Jedi, she was sentenced to 3 months in prison for the charge (propaganda against the regime).

It should be noted that on October 27, 1400, Parisa Jedi received a phone call from the Information Department of Moghan city and was interrogated for the publication of the content she had published on her personal Instagram page.

In Article 5 of the Criminal Procedure Law, it is emphasized that the accused should be informed of the alleged charges as soon as possible and provide the right of access to a lawyer and other defense rights mentioned in the law.

Denying the accused access to a lawyer during interrogation, investigation and trial is a violation of Article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights approved on December 16, 1966.

Also, people’s right to a fair trial is one of the inalienable rights emphasized in Article 10 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
