No, this time struggling is useless!
As predicted, the survival instinct of the Islamic Republic has finally been triggered by the ten-magnitude shock of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” revolution, the threat of foreign military attack, and the crippling economic crisis. Those who deeply felt the threat of overthrow to their core this fall have apparently concluded that changes and transformations in their policies and actions are necessary; otherwise, their survival in the long term, and perhaps even the medium term, will be impossible.
Yes, their survival instinct or self-preservation instinct has activated, rapidly and revolutionarily. Yielding to the International Atomic Energy Agency out of fear of the revival of six UN Security Council resolutions is the first sign of the Islamic Republic’s survival instinct being triggered. To assure the agency’s director that their promises are genuine this time, they brought him to their president to hear personally that the regime has surrendered to the agency’s demands. The next sign is the renewal of diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia out of fear of a Hebrew-Arab alliance forming against the Islamic Republic.
They agreed to sell the Yemeni Houthis in exchange for Iran International TV moderating its positions. Other events can also be expected, including returning to JCPOA commitments (signing the JCPOA), retreating from aggressive regional policies (participating in peace conferences with Arab countries led by Master Xi Jinping), reconsidering Ukrainian policy (halting drone and missile sales to Russia), and more.
The Islamic Republic’s foreign minister has practically come close to falling at Antony Blinken’s feet to negotiate with the Americans. All their revolutionary bluster is melting like snow under the summer sun because they see their survival at risk; and more surprises should be expected. If until yesterday, dancing girls were arrested on a rooftop, today Ekbatan dancers in public are only warned. Simply put, they no longer have the power. Of course, they still struggle, but no life or strength remains for them. Only a thin shell remains of their hardline policies; and all this is just a small part of the impact of Iran’s national revolution.
But the regime’s desperate moves are not enough for its survival. Iranian society needs such radical transformations that this regime cannot accomplish. The minds of the Iranian people have been turned upside down, and society has drastically transformed. It has no choice but to be replaced by the old. A birth is on the way that cannot be stopped. This is the same powerful creative force that nothing can stop. Whether you like it or not, sooner or later, it will come despite all these struggles.
