Bahareh Hedayat was transferred to a hospital outside the prison.
Aryan Society News Agency – Bahareh Hedayat, a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, was transferred to a hospital outside the prison due to her deteriorating condition. According to the lawyer of this prisoner, “Ms. Hedayat is in the thirteenth day of her hunger strike.”
According to Aryan Society News Agency, quoting Harana, Bahareh Hedayat was transferred from Evin Prison to a hospital outside the prison.
Zahra Minouei, Ms. Hedayat’s lawyer, wrote upon releasing this news: “My client Bahareh Hedayat was transferred from Evin Prison to a hospital on the thirteenth day of her hunger strike due to her deteriorating condition.”
Previously, Bahareh Hedayat was sentenced by Tehran Revolutionary Court to four years and eight months of imprisonment, two years of political and social group membership ban, and three months of service in a nursing home for her protests in December 2019, and this sentence was upheld as is in the appeals court.
She was arrested by security agents in October last year at a friend’s house and was finally transferred to the women’s ward of this prison in November of the same year to serve her sentence.
This political prisoner, in mid-November 2022, faced a new case against her with several charges including “propaganda against the regime, assembly and collusion, as well as promoting corruption and immorality.”
Ms. Hedayat has a prior history of arrest and conviction due to her activities.
