Aryan Society News Agency – Six Baha’i citizens residing in Karaj, including Naghmeh Mirza Agha, Mahin Saadatmand, Mahshid Sefidi, Samar Masoudi, Mona Zekai, and Naser Rajab, were sentenced by Branch Two of the Alborz Revolutionary Court to ten months imprisonment and a two-year travel ban.
According to this report, the mentioned sentence was recently communicated to these individuals, with the charge against all being “propaganda against the regime.” The hearings for the case of these six citizens were held on March 3, 2025, and May 10, 2025.
These individuals were previously summoned to the prosecutor’s office on July 7, 2024, and after interrogation, were released on temporary bail. Naser Rajab has a history of security confrontations and previous arrests on his record.
In recent years, security and judicial pressures and restrictions against the Baha’i community in Iran have intensified. Statistics released by human rights organizations show that in the past three years, nearly 72% of reported religious minority rights violations in the country involved Baha’i citizens. This trend indicates the continuation of restrictive policies against this community at the national level.
