Rescue of hundreds of refugees in the Mediterranean by the Italian Coast Guard
Aryan Community News Agency – The Italian Coast Guard rescued about 600 migrants from an emergency situation in the Mediterranean Sea and transferred them to the island of Sicily. The number of migrants arriving in Italy by boat has clearly increased in the eight months of this year compared to last year.
As reported by the Italian Coast Guard in the city of Potsio, two ships carrying about 350 and 250 migrants arrived in Sicily.
Also, Doctors Without Borders reported that the ship “Geo Barents” belonging to this aid organization with 106 migrants reached the coast of Tarantore on Wednesday.
The passengers of the ship “Geo Barents” saved these migrants from drowning on Sunday. The country was located very far from the coastal city of Tarantoor, which is why the ship reached the coast on Wednesday morning.
According to the report of the Italian Ministry of Interior, more than 51,000 migrants have reached this country by boats this year. This number is obviously more than the number of immigrants in the same period of time in the previous year. In the same period last year, about 36 thousand 500 immigrants had arrived in Italy.
After arriving in Italy, many immigrants want to go to other EU countries. Right-wing parties in Italy are campaigning against the rescue operations of aid organizations and want to prevent migrants from coming.
Lega party leader Matteo Salvini accused these organizations of collaborating with human traffickers.
According to a survey, the coalition of conservative and right-wing parties will win the parliamentary elections on September 25. Such an event will have negative consequences for the operation of rescuing migrants.
