According to this source, the return program is voluntary and based on the person’s own choice.
Previously, financial support from the United Nations has been provided for the return of Afghans to their country. According to this organization, the purpose of the financial aid to this program is to provide economic assistance to Afghan immigrants due to the increase in transportation costs and living conditions in the host countries and also in Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Pakistan has started deporting Afghan citizens without documents. Recently, seven Afghan immigrant families, including 57 without documents, have returned to Afghanistan from Spin Boldak.
At the same time, the deportation of Afghan immigrants from Iran continues. In this case, reports of violence, torture and beating of Afghan immigrants have also been published in Iran. But Iran always denies these reports.
After the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, tens of thousands of Afghans have migrated to other countries, including Iran and Pakistan, due to poverty, unemployment, fear of the Taliban, and insecurity.
