Ariyai Community News Agency – Today, Monday, September 7, 1401, security agents arrested 2 women in Shiraz, the capital of Fars province.

According to the report of the Aryan news agency, quoted by IRNA, today, Monday, 7th of Shahrivar 1401, Lotfollah Shibani, the governor of Shiraz, arrested 2 women on the charge of verbal and physical conflict with (Amer Be Maruf) in Golestan town of Shiraz and filed a court case for They and Mustafa Passage Seal reported the reason for non-compliance (Islamic principles).

In this regard, the governor of Shiraz claimed: “These two women who insulted and beat the daughter and wife of Martyr Mansoor Khadim Sadegh in the date of Shahrivar 1401, because of the verbal reminder to observe hijab and enjoin what is good and forbid what is bad.” They are sisters.”

The governor of Shiraz also said: “Following this incident, the Shiraz City Security Council convened a meeting today on September 7, and Mustafavi Passage in Shiraz was closed until further notice due to the non-compliance of Islamic principles by some people.”

It should be noted that on the evening of Sunday 6th of Shahrivar 1401, two female citizens, in Mustafavi Passage of Shiraz, following the intervention of 2 other women who claimed to warn them to observe the veil, in the meantime, a physical fight broke out between them.

The imposition of restrictions on women and girls for the type of clothing they wear by some people who call themselves (Amer Ba Maruf) has caused physical conflicts.

Arresting women due to conflicts with people who interfere with their clothing is unprecedented. Today’s incident in Shiraz coincides with the first hearing of the case of Sepideh Reshnou, who was arrested due to a fight with Amer Be Maruf on the BRT bus.

Preventing the choice of clothing for women and girls as a suppression of freedom of opinion and violating Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights approved on December 16, 1966, which refers to the right of individuals to freely express their thoughts, opinions and ideas and Political and ideological views are emphasized.

Also, in Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, it is emphasized on equal behavior among people in the society and free from discrimination.
