Greece expands the border wall with Turkey by 80 km
Aryan Community News Agency – As efforts to illegally cross from Turkey to Greece increase, Greece wants to significantly expand its border wall with Turkey.
The Greek government is supposed to strengthen the protection of the country’s borders with Turkey. According to AFP, the spokesperson of the Greek government said in Athens on Thursday that the border wall will be 80 kilometers longer in one area. So far, this wall is 40 kilometers long.
The spokesman said that Greece is facing “increasing migration pressure” at land and water borders.
In August alone, about 25,000 migrants tried to enter the country illegally from Turkey.
According to the information of the spokesperson of the Greek government, along with the expansion of the border wall, the installation of thermal cameras and 250 additional border guards are also planned.
