Fatemeh Ziyai was arrested by the agents of the Ministry of Information
Jamia Aryai News Agency – Following the raid of the security agents on the private house of Fatemeh (Hourieh) Ziyai, a former political prisoner was arrested and transferred to Evin prison.
According to Jamia Aryai News Agency, on Saturday 19th of Shahrivar, 1401, Fatemeh (Hourieh) Ziyai, a resident of Tehran, a former political prisoner, was arrested after security agents raided her home after searching her home and confiscating some personal belongings. The judicial case was transferred to solitary confinement in Ward 209 of Evin Prison
An informed source in this regard said: “Security agents arrested Fatemeh (Houriya) Ziyai when she had guests at her house after searching the house and confiscating the mobile phones of this political activist and her guests.” After some time, he announced in a short call to his relatives that he was transferred to solitary confinement in Ward 209 of the Ministry of Information for interrogation and filing a case.
It should be noted that Fatemeh Ziaei is suffering from MS, that her confinement in solitary confinement and the prison environment increases stress and psychological pressure on her, while she does not have access to her medications.
Until the moment of writing this report, there is no information available about the reasons for the arrest and the legal basis of the accusations against Fatemeh Ziaei.
Fatemeh (Hourieh) Ziai Azad, on April 20, 2018, was arrested after referring to the execution department of the Tehran Revolutionary Court and was transferred to the women’s ward of Evin prison, and on November 18, 2018, after serving her prison term. He was released from Oben prison.
This political activist was arrested in October 2014 along with his wife Mahmoud Azimi, and after passing the interrogation period, they were released after 5 months with a bail of 100 million Tomans.
At the beginning of the proceedings, Fatemeh Ziyai Azad was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolution Court headed by Mashallah Ahmadzadeh, and after the protest was announced at the end of 2017, this sentence was confirmed by Branch 36 of the Court of Appeal of Tehran Province. Confirmation and he was arrested to enforce its tolerance.
Also, she was arrested on February 2, 2008 for the charge of (traveling to the headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization in Iraq) and was released from prison in December of 2010 after her imprisonment.
This political activist was arrested by security agents on June 18, 1392, and after being transferred to the 209 security ward of Evin prison, she was released on October 25 of the same year during the interrogation process.
Fatemeh Ziaei Azad is one of the former political prisoners in Iran who spent 5 years in prison between 1360 and 1365.
